Here is a tasty recipe for you and the kids to mix up and to pop in the oven to bake while you and the children play a game outside on a beautiful fall day.  This is a simple-to-make and savory dish.  Serve it with pasta, rice, or couscous.   Enjoy!

Cranberry Chicken - from the kitchen of Betsy Dasse
Very tasty, simple recipe, good for company

  • 1 can whole cranberry sauce
  • ½ cup Catalina dressing (regular, low-fat, or no fat)
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • garlic powder – whatever amount you like to use

Mix above ingredients & pour over chicken

  • 6 chicken breast (the original recipe said to pound them – I don’t.  Also, if chicken is large breasted, you can cut up the pieces)

Bakes uncovered for 1 hour at 350.
