We use the Investigations Math curriculum (http://investigations.terc.edu/curr/index.cfm) in our district. Children learn using hands on materials, games, and activities. I assess children’s progress by observation, discussion, and questioning, in addition to their completed work and projects. To ensure more consistent assessment, MSAD #50 kindergarten teachers worked together to match our expectations for different activities. The links below show each unit’s checklist. The colored text on each checklist shows where we’ll check a child’s proficiency. The following links are PDFs. You’ll need Adobe Reader to open them. (Adobe Reader download)
