Apple Crisp 

ingredients:

  • 10-12 medium cooking apples 
  • 2 cups raw oats 
  • 1 cup whole wheat pastry flour 
  • 1/2 cup butter 
  • 1/2 cup honey 
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon 
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice 
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt 
to make: 
  • Peel (if necessary), slice, and pare the apples. 
  • Spread them into a large oblong pan. 
  • Melt the butter and honey together. 
  • Combine oats, flour spices, and salt. 
  • Stir honey mixture into dry ingredients. 
  • Crumble mixture over apples. 
  • Bake uncovered 35-40 minutes or until apples are tender at 375 degrees . 
  • Cover if it crisps too quickly. 
serves 10
