CCS Kindergarten Recipe

Jam Jewel Cookies 

Ingredients: 

  •      3 sticks butter, softened 
  •      ¾ cup honey 
  •      1-teaspoon vanilla 
  •      2/3 cup very finely ground almonds 
  •      1¾-cup whole-wheat pastry flour 
  •      1¾-cup all purpose flour 
  •      Raspberry jam 
To make: 
  •    Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 
  •    Cream together butter, honey and vanilla. 
  •    Stir in nuts and flour until the dough is evenly combined. 
  •    Refrigerate for one hour or overnight if time permits. 
  •    Roll out dough ¼ inch thick and cut with cookie cutters.  (We made moons and stars.)  Make a small dent in each cookie and op with a small dollop of jam. 
  •    Bake on oiled cookie sheets for 7-12 minutes in a 325 degree oven.
