| Scones
ingredients:

2 cups whole wheat pastry flour

2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/3 cup light brown sugar

2/3 cup dried fruit of your choice

1 egg, beaten

1/4 cup low-fat milk
to make:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl and cut with pastry knife.

Whisk together egg and milk.

Stir wet ingredients into dry.

Knead the dough lightly 10 times.

Pat into a round and place on a baking pan.

Cut through round to make eight wedges, but don't seperate the peices.

Bake for fifteen to 20 minutes or until slightly brown and firm to the
touch.

Let sit for 15 minutes then serve.
