In the fall of third grade,
children learn keyboarding skills. They meet in the computer lab
three times a week with our media specialist, Ann Dodd-Collins. Ms.
Dodd-Collins introduces the children to the program, Type to Learn.
"Skins" are placed over the keyboard, and they practice typing their letters.
Next they write out words and sentences. The children also play games
that support their recall of where each letter is on the keyboard.
