Revolutionary War
& Colonial Times Unit
Each
year third graders learn about local history. Learning experiences
include reading If You Lived at the Time of the American Revolution,
and a visit to Montpelier, the Henry Knox Museum.
Students learn how families got their food and clothes, who went to school,
and inventions of the colonial time period. Other activities
consist of making berry ink and writing with quill pens, and writing and
illustrating history books of the local community.
