Owls Head Light
by: Kaleb

My lighthouse is called Owls Head Light. My lighthouse is in Owls Head, Maine. The lighthouse was made in 1825. The construction material it is made out of is brick. This lighthouse is 30 feet high. It has a fixed white light signal. It means that the light stays on all the time. The fog signal on the lighthouse is two blasts every twenty seconds.

Next, I’m going to say what makes my lighthouse special. My lighthouse has an unusually short, 30-foot, brick tower.

Now I’m going to tell you what it would feel like living in a lighthouse and what I would do to take care of one. My mother would have to teach me things instead of a teacher. I would keep watch. I would also polish the light. I would save the crews on ships. I would definitely scrape the ice off the windows. I would not have much food. It would be pretty dangerous. I would have to climb the stairs.
