Libby Island Light
by: Kyleigh

Libby Island Light is the name of my lighthouse. My lighthouse is near Machiasport, Maine. In 1824 my lighthouse was built. My lighthouse was built out of granite. My lighthouse is 42 feet tall. Every twenty seconds my white light flashes two times. My fog signal has one blast every 15 seconds.

This is what I like about my lighthouse. The kids had to play a game. They could not touch the grass. They had to climb down a 50-foot cliff.

This is what it would be like to live in a lighthouse. I would take care of the light. I would polish the glass. I would give the light oil. I will climb stairs to keep watch. I will check to see if the light is on. The things I would like of my lighthouse are the color of the ocean, and my lighthouse color, keeping away from the edge, and growing flowers. I would take care of my lighthouse every single day.
