Fall Observations

Fall was a time to get to know and explore the environment behind our classroom. We broke into groups of 3 or 4 and studied a specific area.
""
Gage, Trevor and Sierra (absent) study an area. “There were a lot of things broken apart.” Gage observed. Trevor noticed a lot of sticks and stones. “The ground was dry but soft and mucky.”
""
Kalyn, Iris and Logan pose in their study area. “In the early fall there was a lot of tall grass.” says Kalyn. “The ground was dry as well in our spot.” noticed Iris. “I thought it was really green and there was a yellow and green flower growing close to the ground” said Logan.
""
Cameron, Jackson, Cristen and Nick at work in their area. Nick and Cristen said, “There was no water but there were a lot of trees knocked down.” Cameron and Jackson said, “There was a pencil stuck through the tree stump. There was also a big root that sticks out of the front.”

Abi, Raven, A.J. and Jonathon in their study area. Abi and Jonathan said, “We saw a big rock we could stand on in front of the big tree stump. There were a lot of broken sticks and logs and stuff and trees laying down.” AJ and Raven observed, “There was a second big stump behind this one. We also saw spider webs and ashes inside the stump itself.”
