"Community-Sharing, Caring and Giving!"

Our school theme this year at Cushing Community School is
"Community-Sharing, Caring and Giving!"
Throughout the year, students will be reminded of the
importance of giving back to their community by volunteering
and sharing the gift of time.

Our principal, Mrs. Chamberlin, presented students at CCS with pencils printed with the school theme at an assembly at the beginning of school.  Students will participate in activities throughout the year to reinforce this theme.
Students at CCS are often caught in the act of doing something good!  "Rainbow Shines" are awarded to students for showing kindness towards their peers and school staff.  Here are two of the students who have received "Rainbow Shines" this year.

The spirit of giving was celebrated in September when students and staff donated bottled water and books to families affected by Hurricane Katrina.
