As School-To-Career Coordinator at GVHS, my job includes the following:
Supervise and support the students in the Job Training/Cooperative Education program.
Assist students in career research- using the computer lab in the Student Services area, self-assessment surveys, community resources and other available tools.
Be a resource to staff for career speakers and information.
Develop and promote career research opportunities for the students at GVHS.
This position, which is sponsored by Mid-Coast School of Technology, is flexible by design to allow us to specifically meet the career needs of the students at GVHS.
Choices
Planner is a web-based Career and College Research Tool. This
site includes many self-assessments, as well as detailed descriptions of
over 600 occupations and a database of over 6000 colleges. All students
and their families may have access to this site. Students may get
their account cards from Ms. Anderson in Student Services.
