After School Program Paola McCabe, Director
The Lura Libby After School Program strives to provide:
This Program is available Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on days that school is in session for the full day. The Children:
The After School Program helps children gain an understanding of appropriate behavior. Positive behavior is promoted through attention to physical space, activities provided, and the expectations set by adults. Snacks are provided every day, and each family is asked to donate a snack once a month. The Activities:
Activities are planned for the needs and interests of the children involved and include outdoor play, organized free choice, physical games, board games, legos, puzzles, art, crafts, food activities, and special events. Outdoor play is a part of the daily routine. The Projects:
Special projects are part of the After School Program. During the 1999-2000 school year, children built bird feeders and planters. For more information about the After School Program, call Lura Libby at 354-6464 or come to the school office to pick up a handbook. |
