The Life Skills
class at Lura Libby School is composed of children who are between the
ages of 5 and 10 years old. These children attend both regular and
special education classes. In the Life Skills class we work on functional
academics, basic academic and life skills necessary for the children to
meet their individual goals and objectives. Some of the skills we
work on include daily reading and math, leisure skills, social and communication
skills. We also work on recreation skills through the Special Olympics.
This program is staffed by one teacher and three educational technicians.
