A
Winter Landscape
The first
grade students learned about creating a landscape, we looked at examples
of landscapes and discussed what we saw. We then learned many different
ways to apply paint to a surface. The first thing we did was use a dry
brush to make snowflakes, we carefully flicked paint at the paper to create
little specks of snow. Then we created a horizon line using our pencils
and carefully painted the ground to look like it was covered in snow. The
next week we learned how to paint trees and how to paint a deer. The following
week we used sponges to create snow on our trees. We also added gray paint
to appear that the animal had been wondering around our paper creating
tracks.
