In celebration of music
the students in the second grade learned about the artist Romare Howard
Bearden. Bearden loved music and to honor him and to honor how much we
all love music we recreated musical instruments. Each child choose a picture
of an instrument they wanted to recreate. Using collage techniques the
students created beautiful and colorful works of art.
