The fourth grade students are learning the Elements of Art, this project focuses on the use of Value. Value is when an artist uses dark and light in a picture. The students learned how to draw different types of pumpkins and how to use value and a value scale to make the pumpkin appear to have form. The students experimented with colored pencil, charcoal, and watercolor.
