It was a beautiful fall day on
October 31st when the the second, third, and fourth grade students at Lura
Libby School tried their hands at "Frisbee Golf." A 7-hole course, complete
with score cards and "pars" was created on the grounds. Each hole had
special qualities and a name. The first hole was appropriately named
"near third base" - guess where it was located! Students worked in pairs
and/or trios to complete the course. By the end of the day, a few "holes
in one" were thrown and many students were at or under par. This activity
allowed kids a glance at the game of golf, an opportunity to improve frisbee
throwing skills, and an enjoyable fall day experience!
