What is the role of a school counselor?
   The role of the school counselor is to meet with students individually, in small groups, during classroom lessons, and for Lunch Bunches. School counselors also consult with parents, teachers, administrators, social workers, and school psychologists to ensure school success for students. School counselors coordinate a wide variety of services such as the Trekkers Mentoring program and the Student Assistance Team. The school counselor organizes the test materials for the Maine Educational Assessment.
