Bobcat
By Leah

The female Bobcat is 30-45 inches long and weighs about 24 pounds. My animal has long legs and a short tail. The Bobcat also has pointed ears and tan hair on its head then the hair goes to brown. My animal also has sideburns. My mammal has very good eyesight.  My animal gets around by walking and swimming. You can find my mammal in swamps, mountains, and wooded areas in North America. The Bobcat eats rabbits, birds, rats, squirrels, rodents, deer, owls, and hares. The Bobcat mates in the late winter, January to November. The Bobcat has 1-4 babies. The Bobcat cares for her babies until late summer. The Bobcat is in the Lynx family.  My mammal is the smallest cat in the cat family except for the house cat.
I liked to work with everyone that helped me learn about the Maine Bobcat.
