Mink
By Rebecca

The name of my mammal is a Mink. They grow up to be 2 feet long [62 centimeters.] My mammal has a long tail. Minks can be black, silver-gray, and white. Minks have short legs. Minks have slender bodies.  Mink’s fur is thick and soft. Minks move on foot. My mammal lives in North America, Northern Europe, and Northern and Eastern Asia. My mammal prefers living on land and in trees and in burrows and dens. My mammal lives near water. Minks eat crayfish, frogs, and minnows, mice, muskrats, rabbits, and snakes. My mammal’s enemies are bobcats, foxes and types of owls. My mammal uses its teeth, and sharp claws to protect itself.  Sometimes it will attack an animal larger than itself. Minks have 10 babies a year. My mammal’s mom takes care of her babies for a year.
I really liked learning about Minks.  It is interesting doing reports on different animals.
