Mrs. Pacheco has enjoyed helping students to explore music since graduating from the University of Lowell, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. She has been a private piano teacher as well as public school music teacher.
Since moving to Maine in 1982, she has enjoyed teaching at Oak-grove Coburn, Vassalboro, Albion Elementary School in MSAD 49, Ames Elementary, East Belfast, and Troy Howard Middle School in MSAD34, and Wescott Junior High in Westbrook.
She has directed elementary musicals that include a musical version of “The Nutcracker” , Tom Sawyer, and Treasure Island. The musical became an annual event while working at Troy Howard Middle School. Broadway Junior versions of The Music Man, Guys and Dolls, Bugsy Malone, as well as a Patriotic Musical called “Kilroy was Here” encouraged students to grow and participate in the Arts.
She has been a guest conductor for the Kennebec Valley Music Educators Association Junior High Honors Chorus 2004 and District IV Elementary music Festival in 2005. Most recently, she was the Musical Director for Suessical the Musical at Camden Civic Theater.
Mrs. Pacheco is very excited to be teaching at Cushing Community, Lura Libby, and St. George Schools. Students in her music classes can look forward to exploring music through many ways.
