Dear St. George Community,

Do you love to look at lovely scenery of the water? My name is Amber. I go to St. George School and I’m in the 6th grade. We are constructing a nature trail in the spring. It should be a magnificent trail but there is one spot that I would love to have part of the trail. This spot is the marsh. This location is so delightful, unruffled, beautiful and relaxing after a hard day of work.

The one and only main reason why I would like to have this spot part of the trail is because of all the wildlife around the trail. For example I’ve seen beaver homes, deer tracks, eagles, and a lot of other birds. I know some people are startled at the sight or sound of animals or just don’t like them at all. Well I have a solution for the problem. I’ve heard that if you leave them alone they’ll leave you alone.

Another reason why I love this spot is that there is so many different types of trees that you could take on the other side of the marsh. We could teach the young and old about these trees as they paced by. You might wonder if the young would even be concerned or interested in education of trees but I know for a truth that they would like to know. For example I have a little brother who loves to teach my parents about nature facts so I bet that the young children on our nature trail would like to tell their parents about that also.

One more reason I would like to have this spot part of the trail is because it would be a exhilarating spot to put in a bench. As I said in the first paragraph it would be a peaceful place to relax but relaxing would be better if you got to rest with a blanket watching the water.

So I ask you, wouldn’t you like to have a place to learn about trees, a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing spot, and a wildlife habitat all in one spot at your nature trail? I sure would. It would be awesome!

Sincerely,

Amber
