The sixth grade at the St. Goerge School are
helping make the old nature trail into an outdoor learning center. In order
for us to make the outdoor learning center, we had to go to Tanglewood Forestry
Camp to learn how to make an outdoor learning center.
.
In October
We went to Forestry Camp
We learned how
To be land management champs
We saw hardwoods
And evergreen trees
And all their different leaves
We learned a lot at the Tanglewood Camp
Here's what they taught at the Tanglewood Camp
We Paced 100 feet
Used a compass so neat
And now we're making a NatureTrail
We made s'mores at the Tanglewood Camp
We wanted more at the Tanglewood Camp
We went for a night Walk
We tripped over a rock
Now we're making a Nature Trail
Fun talant shows at the Tanglewood Camp
Glad it didn't at the Tanglewood Camp
Played basketball at the Tanglewood Camp
The court was small at the Tangle wood Camp
Used walking sticks at the Tanglewood Camp
We Played tricks at the Tanglewood Camp

The 6th graders chose an interesting location
by the old nature trail, and had to write a persuasive letter persuading
others to include that interesting location as a part of the new outdoor
learning center.
