Out Door Nature Trail

My Pets Page

This past fall, the sixth grade and Alternative Education students went to Tanglewood Youth Forestry Camp in Lincolnville Maine. There, we learned a lot of interesting things about nature, animals, trees, and teachers! Nature, what can I say? Its a part of life! Acknowledge the inner Nature! Animals, some see better during the night! Trees, Where can I start?  There are so many I can't even name 20!! Teachers, they can be so, so, so, so, much cooler outside the classroom! We also learned about navigating, compassing, and pacing. The tools we used were, soil augers, compasses, long  measuring tape, and pacing counters. That's about it! I hope you enjoy the rest of  my Web Page!

Earlier this year we picked out spots that we wanted on the out door learning center.

I chose this spot because I thought it was a good place to calm down at, after spending 15-20 minutes at this spot! I also think that it would be a good place for poets and story writers because it has a good view and I thought  that the wind and the outdoors would inspire the writers and poets! Also, the animals in the wilderness, the fish, the wind on your face. This is what you may feel at this spot!
