K-8 Art Teacher,
St. George School & Cushing Community School

About me...

I was born and raised in Madawaska. For many who are unfamiliar with this area it is the most northern town in Maine, right on the border of Edmunston, New Brunswick, Canada. I was raised by two loving and supportive parents and I have an older sister who is a nurse and a younger brother who is an engineer. Family, church, and community are very strong values my parents instilled in us as well as always striving to be our very best in everything we do. Total bi-lingual immersion in school and everyday life was a unique experience growing up there.
After graduating from Madawaska High School in 1988, I then went on to pursue higher education at the University of Southern Maine, graduating with a Bachelors of Science degree in Art Education in 1992.
My first year of teaching was with the Sanford School District and then in 1993 I came to teach at a little school on the St. George Peninsula - St. George School and along the way, Cushing Community School as well.  Now, here I am, many years and many, many students later......
