Moon Myth
by Abby

Once there was a lady who would look out at the moon every night. The first night the lady said, "I hope the moon does not stay small so there will be more light."
One day the moon was as small as a spine. The next day it was smaller and it keep getting smaller.
The woman said to her self “ oh yah the moon waxes and wanes so it gets bigger and smaller so it won’t take over the sky”.

The Moon’s Reason
by Bryant

A long time ago before dinosaurs, there was a Great Moon Lord and his apprentice. Every night in the Moon Observatory, the Moon Lord asks his apprentice to cut his thumbnails. It was a full moon that night, which meant his fingernails were as big as marbles. The first few nights he trimmed at the nails that turned the moon into an oval shape. The moon got smaller and smaller until the moon was gone… and for the Moon Lord’s nails… they did not remain on his fingers!

 The End!

So the legend tells us that the moon still waxes and wanes as his fingernails grow.

Moon Myth
by Adam

Long, long ago a lion wanted to go to the moon. On his birthday he made a wish and it was to go to the moon. His wish came true. So from there on out he had FUN jumping, floating around and playing. But after a while he got bored. He tried 100 times to escape but it didn't work. So every full moon you see the lions full moon face, but when he’s jumping, floating and playing you don’t see the lions face, but you only see his tail.
